Hens & Chicks is accepting new consigners everyday! Everyone is bringing in wonderful items and we are so excited to show them to you! In order to have time to get these wonderful items out for you all to see, we need to make some policy changes. Beginning on Sept. 12, 2011 we will begin taking consignments every other week. The only exception is for baby equipment which we will gladly accept any time. During an "accepting week", feel free to come in with your items, no appointment is necessary. Occasionally, if especially busy, we will ask you to come back at a later date for any items that we do not feel would sell well in the store. Otherwise, expect to wait while we look through your items.

 

Consigners receive 40% of the sale price for all items. Credit may be used in the store, or we will gladly write a check for the amount of credit due at any point after the sale. Childrens clothing, books, toys & equipment are accepted for the season with periodic markdowns; Women's clothing is accepted for 10 weeks. It will be returned to the consigner (if desired) at the close of the season. Otherwise, items will be donated to either The Salvation Army, Big Brothers Big Sisters, NELCWITT, local shelters, DYCS, Survival Center or other charity.

 

ALL CLOTHES, TOYS & EQUIPMENT MUST BE FRESHLY WASHED, IN SEASON AND IN SELLABLE CONDITION. HENS & CHICKS WILL NOT ACCEPT CLOTHING WITH STAINS, RIPS, MISSING BUTTONS, BROKEN ZIPPERS, MOLD or CIGARETTE SMOKE .

 

Toys & equipment must be clean (wiped down ahead of time), intact, with no missing pieces and WORKING BATTERIES where applicable.  Please check  games and puzzles for all pieces before bringing them in.

 

Spring/Summer clothing is accepted Jan-May

Fall/Winter clothing is accepted June-Dec.
